After 35 years of mountain biking and 7 years of development, we are proud to present our BUCEFAL mountain bike range.

The most “made in France” of carbon enduros is born to let you discover the osmosis between rider and machine.

The mantra that has guided our development is the thought attributed to Leonardo da Vinci: ” Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication “.

In any technical system, the multiplicity of components leads to an increasing number of causes of damage.

We’ve never stopped reducing our frame design to the essentials, while ensuring the functionality required for uncompromising off-road use.

At the foot of the Pyrenees, we developed BUCEFAL and produce all our frames in-house using aeronautical processes.

enabling us to achieve unrivalled mechanical strengths in the > 800 MPa cycle range.

As a reminder, aluminum or “Asian carbon” will give you 400 MPa at best…

Functional analysis and design

Thanks to 35 years' experience in XC and enduro, we can identify the main functions and stresses. FMEA (Failure Mode Analysis) helps prevent risks and ensure reliable, high-performance design.

3D design and component selection

The frame is modeled in 3D with Fusion 360. We choose top-of-the-range components (transmission, braking, suspension) to guarantee optimum performance and perfect compatibility.

Materials and manufacturing processes

An in-depth study of materials is carried out to select the most suitable ones. Each decision is based on value analysis and optimized manufacturing processes (Quality, Cost, Delivery).

Simulations and iterations

Static and dynamic simulations (FEA) are carried out to test the frame's robustness in the face of constraints. Iterative loops are used to continually adjust and improve the design.

Prototyping, testing and production

Prototypes are manufactured by our French partners, who specialize in CNC machining of tooling. They then undergo rigorous testing (EN 4210-2 standard, UV and thermal aging). After laboratory validation, we launch series production, with strict quality control at every stage.
